Local involvement

Meridian supports local causes that bolster the fabric of our community and help provide a valuable safety net to at-risk residents in the area. In addition, Meridian organizes meetings of local citizens looking for ways to positively engage with others and advocate for their communities. Meridian supports the following local charities and community gatherings:

 

Media food Bank

Meridian supports charities in Delaware County that understand the importance of helping those in need with basic necessities to live.

Meridian members have been long-time supporters and volunteers at the Media Food Bank.

DOMESTIC ABUSE PROJECT of Delaware County

Meridian hosted a Holiday Fund Drive and Happy Medium Happy Hour benefiting the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County on December 6, 2017.


320 Market Cafe Media provided the space for the event and donated 10% of the event's proceeds to the Domestic Abuse Project, and a generous Meridian member matched all cash donations made, doubling the total amount raised!

Meetups

Meridian hosts the Meetup group “Destination of Independents”, where political Independents can get together for fun and lively discussions on issues impacting our communities. We never know who will show up, but it’s always fun!
